Let me know how I can improve, I am still only getting down to 2.09's on this track. Well with some quick suspension adjustments from my buddy @Jackson_foto I was able to get the bike in corners much better without fighting the bike, I'm still amazed at how much a little adjustment can do for your bike but it's now time for new suspension. Went on my first ride today after installing the yoshi at2, it sounds loud, but really nothing crazing like other bikes I've been on. The r7 absolutely needs a tune with that pipe tho, the decel pops it makes are insanely loud and there are at least 5 per second when off the throttle, it's awful.
Yea bro I did t like that either, I reduced the engine braking and it got ride of it but I still need a real tune

I just picked up a 24 R7 and it doesn’t have that rubber boot on top of the air box. I can remove my seat and look in between the tank and see the air filter.

@ScoutsOut No, not this year. we went out to Road america again this year. Barber, Laguna and COTA are on the shortlist for the one race we will make it too. However Road America is hard to beat.

@@ScoutsOut looks like its holding pretty well. I really wish they have mounting brackets so it will be right in the middle of the triple tree instead of being offset to one side. Anyway thanks for responding. Also, if you were to keep just 1 bike would be the r7 or zx4rr???
Yea man I agree, I don’t want the offset one. There are a few 3D printed mounts that look like they work well. I really love the sound of the 4rr it makes for such a great riding experience but I would keep the r7. I will probly dump the 4rr when the r9 finally shows up

That’s bro, all twins r7’s 660’s and 400’s. I’m finally starting to get pace but my bike is still stock and my experience is still low, but man is it fun to be out there
@@ScoutsOut to me I think I would struggle on a flat track like that it’s harder to see ahead unless you’ve been there a lot and the surface is super old it looks. You have to try T-Hill you’d probably love it. I only did T-H, Infineon, and Reno/fernly which I think closed a while back all those had elevation changes and easy to find breaking points for me anyway 🤙🏼

For me no it didn’t, it was high at first. I would reach out to multiple insurance companies to get a decent quote

Does any one know on here if the oem r6 clip ons would work on the r7 and if they would change position at all?
I’m gonna get some r1 m ones see if they change the riding position I know they will fit it’s just weather the bolt holes line up thru the triple and hopefully they change the angle

I’m thinking about this bike. It reminds me so much of a two stroke, but I already ride an mt07 which is super playful so I’m thinking I would get tired of this quick I might jest get an older 600 so it’s not as crazy.
Totally, once the restriction is gone at 10k it’s like the 2stoke kicks in lol.
I had the exact same bike/color bought new in 2021. Wrecked it last January 2024 and just bought the 2024 Tuono Factory Speed White. This video was a great refresher to remember how to put the Puig tinted windscreen on my new Aprilia. Nicely done!

Recently purchased a 2024 R7. First service coming up at 600 miles. Called Yamaha Pasadena, they want $320 for first service. I have all the tools. I’m debating on doing this myself and saving some money. Update: 06/23 I did the oil change myself. Thanks bruddah!!

Got my R7 about 3 weeks ago. It’s my first street bike, coming from the Dirt since I was a kid. The R7 is a great bike. It reminds me of a 450f Yamaha. Although I never had a 450f, I was 14 riding YZ 125 2-stroke. First service is coming up at 600 miles and I’m at 520. I took the bike up to the Canyons and it was so awesome. Learning to lean the bike is an awesome feeling.

So in the initial motor section u talked a lot about the restriction and completely skipped how the engine feels pulls and works on curves etc..i mean...wtf!

4:43 That bike is TOTALLY ready for off road. I got a Tusk flush-mount magnetic oil plug before I went nuts, though. I prove its readiness almost daily. I live in Colorado.

Got that same bike. Been doggin her for 10K…did a lot of the epic passes in CO. Ripped lots of canyons. It is such a fun bike, but sorta terrifying in high winds (at least compared to my solid Harleys. Like the old commercial said “Kawasaki lets the good times roll”. KLX300 next. I rode it to Sturgis, loaded down at 80-85mph. So yeah, no “top end”, but 80 is fast enough for me. No one goes 80 over. Black Bear Pass, anyhow.

I drilled and tapped threads into the bolt. The bolt is to thin and I didn’t really like it so I didn’t make a vid or talk about it

I still haven’t done an adjustment, I wouldn’t buy another ecu, just revert it to stock and send it to danos. You should be able to look at what dano did with the FTECU after if your interested in knowing
@@ScoutsOut I called them sadly 😥 you have to have a new ecu flash tune leaves a bug they can't un code after you use it

I did this exact tune on my bike just raced a stock 2024 r7 with the exact same toce exhaust and dna stage 2 and I'm way slower
That’s weird, I got more power out of it but it’s not a real tune. The unrestricted tune only removes engine braking and changes the fan to turn on sooner.
Best thing about this video is the editing and gets right to it. Take notes UA-camrs.

Looks like you measured at the front of the gaurd closest to the foot peg. Aren’t you suppose to measure at the half way mark on the gaurd?
If you look in the owners manual, it’ll show you exactly where to measure. Hope this helps.
The Yamaha R7 is a faster better handling bike. Does it sound as good no but I have and my seven is faster and they are both tuned and piped and have intake systems.
